从明天起，做一个幸福的人。

喂马、劈柴，周游世界。

从明天起，关心粮食和蔬菜。

我有一所房子，面朝大海，春暖花开。

从明天起，和每一个亲人通信。

告诉他们我的幸福。

那幸福的闪电告诉我的。

我将告诉每一个人。

给每一条河每一座山取一个温暖的名字。

陌生人，我也为你祝福。

愿你有一个灿烂的前程。

愿你有情人终成眷属。

愿你在尘世获得幸福。

我只愿面朝大海，春暖花开。

English Version:

From tomorrow on,I will be a happy man.

Grooming,chopping and traveling all over the world.

From tomorrow on,I will care foodstuff and vegetable.

Living in a house towards the sea, with spring blossoms.

海子，原名査海生，1964年3月24日出生于安徽省的一个小农村，在家乡度过了童年。年仅15岁的海子考入了北京大学，在学校学习法律。1982年他的第一首诗问世，从此他便开始了连续不断的诗歌创作。在大学时期，曾被称为“北大三诗人”之一。这首诗创作于1989年1月13日，2个月后的3月26日，他在山海关卧轨自杀，年仅25岁。


Haizi, formerly known as Cha Haisheng, was born on March 24, 1964 in a small rural village in Anhui Province. He spent his childhood in his hometown. At only 15 years old, Haizi was admitted to Peking University and studied law at the school. His first poem came out in 1982, and since then he has started continuous poetry creation. In college, he was once known as one of the "Three Poets of Peking University". This poem was written on January 13, 1989. Two months later, on March 26, he committed suicide on rail in Shanhaiguan, at the age of 25.




海子亲身经历了二十世纪六七十年代的文化大革命时期，经历了从只讲红色精神，到80年代末物欲横流的社会转型过程。海子理想主义的希望破灭了，他自始至终都没能生活在他希望的世界里。在现实面前，他变得无比矛盾。相比于那些沉醉在物质生活中沉沦的人，他更多地感到来自内心分裂矛盾的痛苦。这篇诗歌便是他人生痛苦体验的结晶。

Haizi experienced the Cultural Revolution in the 1960s and 1970s, and experienced a social transformation process from only talking about the red spirit to the materialism in the late 1980s. Haizi’s idealistic hope was shattered, and he never lived in the world he hoped for. In the face of reality, he became extremely contradictory. Compared with those who indulge in material life, he felt more pain from inner division and contradiction. This poem is the result of his painful experience in life.
