hi i'm Tanja from elite pilates teacher training here in the uk in england and we offer a level three um diploma in teaching pilates with YMCA.

So today i'm going to show you what am i showing you oh yes the talk circles which is part of our course and so you will get a book with us which we've made our own training manuals and i'm just going through all the exercises and the training menus in this playlist so talk circles um i really love teaching talk circles paul never teaches the talk circle so this is really comes down to the teacher as to whether or not you're going to want to teach it i find that some really nice relaxing exercises and the ladies like at the time so starting with the knees to the front of the feet under the bum the arms

once your hand reaches there you allow the body to spiral back now what you need to do is relax your legs and your hips so that your top knee comes off the knee other knee so what we're aiming to achieve in this position is the shoulders

now some people might not have shoulder mobility or they might have injuries so you might need to go

there

so it really doesn't matter if the hand is not touching the floor as they get better the mobility should um they should be able to work a little bit deeper into that because shoulder injuries is quite a big one they don't want to force their shoulders to do that and when you come into your cross position you want to make sure that your upper back is on the floor so you're just going to make sure that when people's head is on the cushion their heads towards the front because if they're there then they land up on the floor so just little things that you need to be aware of and the knees must move the hips just relax their hips let the knees do whatever they want to do but the knee must must move it mustn't be static great cool warm up and cool down exercise sometimes i'll do the talk circles and then leave them live on their side for five minutes of relaxation at the end so it's a nice little way to come into a closing for your session so that it's tall circles bye
