Now this is the video I owe you guys about the build of our custom roof box. It is made of aluminum with very little welding. The construction is rivoted and glued together. There is no such box available on the market as far as I can see. We took it to the western alps last week and it worked great. Max speed on the Autobahn was 165 km/h (That was all the Discovery did) and the noise from the tires dominate by far. Gas consumption was 12.2 liters per 100 km over our 2200 km round trip fully loaded and 4 people. With the roof tent allone, we usually get around 12 liters... Let me know what you think and what you would have done differently. Would you buy such a box if commercially available?
