Did Apple forget it still sells this!?

Apple still sells an optical drive and it hasn't changed in 15 years. It isn't USBc and Apple doesn't even list the tech specs for it on the product, like what medias it supports, or it's read write speeds although you can find this info on things like Apple related Wikis. Worst of all they charge $79 for it.

Usually in my videos I like to place the hardware I'm talking about in beautiful locations but I wanted to branch out and talk briefly about the beautiful location I'm visiting. There's so much to say about Astoria, as also was captured by the British during the war of 1812 and renamed to Fort George before being returned to the US and one of the two locations where Japan attacked the United States during WW2 when a Japanese submarine fired on Fort Stevens. As a history dork, with an affinity for the PNW, Astoria is steeped with history.
