Extremely tough in man and zone, high football IQ, did not allow many catches​​.

McKinstry doesn’t play with high-level speed or aggression, but he is a long, smooth athlete with the football IQ that should translate quickly to an NFL field. His game reminds me of James Bradberry’s, and he will compete for starting reps as a rookie.
GRADE: 1st-2nd Round (No. 30 overall)

McKinstry plays one of the most difficult positions in the game with so much poise and production. He might not be an elite athlete, but he is one of the smartest cornerback prospects you'll find. He can play in any defensive scheme and is the type of player you draft in the first round.

- Downey's 'Bad':
Needs to work on discipline in coverage; Can be outmaneuvered by quick cuts; Struggles with consistency in physical matchups.
