Only one as Great and as High as God

Ŧis ūcẖe kao jāṇai soe.
can know His Lofty and Exalted State.

Jevad āp jāṇai āp āp.
Only He Himself is that Great. He Himself knows Himself.

Nānak naḏrī karmī ḏāṯ.
O Nanak, by His Glance of Grace, He bestows His Blessings.

UNDERSTANDING THE MANTRA
________________________________

“Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself; and though they are with you, yet they belong not to you. You may give them your Love, but not your thoughts” –

The above very popular quote from Khalil Gibran tells us not to be possessive about our children; I believe this is true in all relationships and so for family happiness, this is the key – Most of the relationships fail because possessiveness (which gives birth to expectations from others) takes the place of Love, which is basic ingredient and bond among family members-

Today, we are facing family crisis throughout the globe – marriages are breaking and the number of divorces is increasing –Marriage which was earlier thought to be a sacred bond is now merely a contract .Of course few exceptions are there.

Let us give a thought how can we save our families from breaking & save the human civilization to crash, for if we see in broader perspective, all the world is one family & we all are brothers & sisters.

First of all, all the family members must love each other unconditionally without any expectations from the other; Love is the basic strength & power of a family. Trust your family members; Respect each other (including children) giving space to each other’s thoughts & views. Accept all the family members as they are ;understand that none of us is Perfect ;so instead of blaming others, learn to forgive others if they hurt &try to resolve the differences through negotiation. Ego/pride mistaken as self respect has ruined happiness.

So let us be happy ,make our families happy because we are born to be happy & that is our greatest Gratitude towards our Creator who has bestowed on us His countless blessings “Ant na siphtee, kehan na ant”.
