In this video we'll service a very cool 1954 National Tremo-Tone guitar amplifier and talk about why it's so important to go ahead and change ALL caps - electrolytic AND signal coupling caps - in most vintage amplifiers.We'll show how to test for and identify most leaky capacitors in circuit while the amp is on. (Repeat at your own risk!!!) We'll also talk about why I don't usually bother testing replacement caps for outer foil orientation. Grab some popcorn and watch the sparks fly on that one!
