My "Derridian" Phase - Philosophical Developments and Commitments

Описание к видео My "Derridian" Phase - Philosophical Developments and Commitments

This more personal video discusses my interest in the works and thought of Jacques Derrida - the theoretician of "deconstruction" - and how I went through a phase in which I could describe myself as a "Derridian" during my graduate school days.

I was particularly interested in the ideas developed in Derrida's early works, like On Grammatology, Writing and Difference, and Speech and Phenomena. Later on I got interested, but to a lesser extent in his later works, more focused on matters of politics and religion, e.g. the Gift of Death, Specters of Marx, Aporias.
