SonoSynthesis - Night Performances | Ars Electronica Futurelab

Humans, an AI composition system and tiny microorganisms provided the key moments for this collaborative design process, which resulted in a composition and a visually powerful audiovisual artwork based on it: SonoSynthesis by the Ars Electronica Futurelab.

An immersive 3D experience, its world premiere during the Futurelab Night Performances of the Ars Electronica Festival 2022 filled the Deep Space 8K at the Ars Electronica Center with moving shapes, colors and sounds. Stereoscopic time-lapse videos accelerated the growth process, visual and acoustic metaphors moved the invisible moments of co-creation into the center of attention. SonoSynthesis was one of the winning project of the internal Futurelab Ideas Expedition 2022.
