First tranche of Pritam Singh’s trial ends

On day 9 of Workers’ Party chief Pritam Singh’s trial, Judge Luke Tan asked lawyers from both sides to address a part of the first charge against Singh in their submissions before the next tranche of the trial, among other proceedings.

The defence will make its written submissions for Singh’s first charge by Oct 30 and the prosecution will reply by Nov 1.

The next tranche of the trial will begin on Nov 5.
