The level of crime in the country is getting out of hand. Just last night, six people were killed in yet another mass shooting in KwaZulu-Natal. In Krugersdorp, the community is calling for the soldiers to be deployed in the area to combat crime. This is after the gang rape of eight women who were shooting a music video in the area.

So what should the ANC be looking into prioritising in its fight against crime?

Dr Witness Maluleke from the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Limpopo, weighs in.
