"Collaboration Collection Part 1" starts a series of releases, in which Dexter Dub features different vocalists and instrumentalists. Part 1 is dedicated to vocal artist Pelican born and raised in Kingston/Jamaica. On this release you can find three tracks, all hybrid-genre tracks combining Reggae vocals by Pelican sung on either Dubstep or DnB/Jungle-riddims by Dexter Dub. "Don't Tell Me" is a Reggae-DnB/Jungle-stepper about the clash of the two cultures, when Kingston meets Cologne. The riddim used is the "Tell Me"-riddim. With "Steppin' It Harder" Pelican delivers a positive track cheering up all nations on a dubwise Dubstep-riddim called the "Harder"-riddim. "Give Thanks", sung on the "Harder"-riddim too, comes as a dubby, laid back and moody worshipping tune.The collection will continue with these and other riddims as well as other vocal and instrumental artists. So stay tuned for some more tracks „crossing borders"...
