TFP Tribute | The Call [3K subs]

3K subs… If someone had told me this channel would reach such number back when I created it in 2009/2010, I would’ve just laughed and shrugged it off. I originally didn’t have anything planned for the milestone but after hearing this song that was released for the new LoL cinematic inspiration struck me down once more. The lyrics of the song really stuck with me and I looped the song for a whole week as the editing became clear in my head; it just had to be a TFP tribute.

This show, alongside Bayverse, is probably the reason this channel got this far in the first place. Thanks to it I was able to meet wonderful people who I’m fortunate to call best friends today. From the brightest time to the darkest ones, this show helped me pull through depression and whenever I find myself rewatching it for the 100th time (just like we’re currently doing as we speak), I’m still able to create new memories with it and it only strengthens the bond I have with my friends.

With this edit I tried my best to translate the feelings we all first felt when watching the show for the first time. The wholesomeness of the first season, the race against time of the second season and the desperation and hope of the third season, along with the emotional conclusion of the movie.

The last part of the lyrics is what resonate with me the most. “Chains that we are breaking” ; as the show helped many of us to fight for another day. As it helped us break the boundaries of our rooms’ walls and reach out to the other end of the Earth for strangers who now mean the world to us.
“Fate that we are awaiting” ; as some of my friends are currently pursuing the career of their dream. As I find myself editing for TFNation while studying VFX in college.
“We will rise up to the call” ; as no matter what happens in life we will always be there for each other, through the best times and through the toughest ones and no matter what happens, we will rise up above ourselves to reach for our dreams.
