Glitter (Anthy and Nanami AMV)

After a thousand years, a new Utena AMV! I'm always going to be obsessed with these two and their parallels. I love the way they see each other as a flawed reflection of themselves for things reasonably neither of them would have cared about if it hadn't been for the abusive forces in their lives- their oddities and strange interests- as well as the dark parts of themselves that lead to the death of helpless creatures that trust them too much. I love the way they deflect and project their problems onto others- including each other- and how they use their little bits and gags to regain the illusion of control over their very similar situations.

I love even more that they'd rather take this as an affirmation of their behavior rather than a sign to stop.
