Translating Documents into Patients’ Mother Tongue - innovating Patient-centred Care

Описание к видео Translating Documents into Patients’ Mother Tongue - innovating Patient-centred Care

When NCID began receiving COVID-19 cases from foreign worker dormitories, the medical team realised that some patients did not understand documents written in English. This could lead to fear and anxiety for many of these patients who are here in Signapore alone. To put foreign worker patients at ease, Patient Admission Packages were provided in patients' mother tongues (Bengali and Tamil), including a link to a QR code-based video FAQ. This has enabled healthcare workers to build trust with patients and provide better care.
