Trying a spicy ginger coffee

Have you tried a ginger coffee before? It actually tastes pretty good if you’re looking for something heaty and spicy to drink.
I just bought a huge piece of ginger from the grocery store and because it dries up so quickly with the super dry Canadian climate we have over here, I normally peel, slice, and freeze it so I can pull it out whenever I need to make a recipe that requires ginger. This time, I saved a fresh piece and tried to make this drink. The first few recipes I searched up actually came out to be Vietnamese called Cà Phê Gừng, which used those long, skinny packets of granulated ginger tea as a base. You can use those packets instead, but I prefer making ginger tea fresh to really bring out the heatiness and spiciness of my ginger root. I’d say it’s a good drink if you like ginger tea but need to keep coffee in your life like me
