Our top story is a shocking headline...

Headline 1 …. One month after he ordered an attack on Israel, Iranian President Raisi has been involved in a helicopter crash and is presumed dead…

The Iranian regime is concerned for President Raisi's life after a helicopter crash. Foggy weather and huge boulders complicated rescue efforts for the president's helicopter, according to Iranian reports.

Details about the incident remained unclear, although reports indicated that the president’s helicopter suffered a “hard landing” in foggy weather.

As night fell, the search became even more difficult. According to the Iranian IRNA news agency, the helicopter crashed in a forest area between the villages of Pir Davood and Uzi in northwestern Iran.

Another headline read: Western Officials Assume Raisi Is Dead…

Headline 2 Israeli officials suspect Raisi did die in a helicopter crash, but they deny any involvement

While Jerusalem is refraining from any official comment on the crash, Israeli sources are denying any link to incident;

Israel is closely monitoring reports from Iran. As in the West, there is speculation in Israel that Raisi, known as the "Butcher of Tehran," did not survive the crash.

Senior officials make the point that Raisi's death will have no significant impact on Israel

Headline 3 'Divine justice?': Rabbis claim helicopter crash is God's punishment for Iran's Raisi

Was it? Of course, it was…

In our book, 25 Signs We Are Near The End ... Sign 2 makes the following statement: As Their Enemies Have Done To Israel, So God Will Do To Them (This book is a free download from our website educatingourworld under the heading of Bible Prophecy)

Indeed, there is a long history of the Lord judging those who attempted to destroy Israel. This includes Amalek, Philistia, Moab, Edom, and Ammon… God specifically singled them out for judgment and today these five people groups no longer exist …

Why?

God promised the man Abraham, some four thousand years ago, that He would bless those who blessed Abraham and his descendants and He would curse those who cursed them (Genesis 12:1-3)

This promise has never been rescinded.

Headline 4 Raisi’s death wouldn’t change Iranian policy, but would spark fight for power

While fate of Iran’s president and potential Khamenei successor remains unknown, there is a deep stable of figures waiting to fill the vacuum his loss would bring about.

Though the deaths of two senior Iranian officials would be a dramatic development at a time when multiple conflicts are raging in the region, it likely would not affect the course of those fights significantly, with decisions over foreign policy and war under the purview of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

“The president of the Islamic Republic is an implementer, not a decision-maker,” explained Jason Brodsky, policy director at United Against Nuclear Iran. “So the policies of the Islamic Republic, the fundamentals of those policies, will remain the same.”

Raisi “works for the Supreme Leader,” noted Ori Goldberg of Reichman University. “Certainly this guy, because he was elected in the least democratic elections the Islamic Republic ever had.”

At the same time, however, the sudden loss of Iran’s president would create a power vacuum that senior figures would start maneuvering to take advantage of.

But more importantly, Raisi was seen as the leading candidate to replace Khamenei. He is immensely experienced — a cleric, ex-chief justice and former head of a massive foundation, in addition to being president. It would be hard to find somebody more evil

Headline 5 The effect of Raisi’s possible death on Iran’s nuke program, and the Gaza war

His death does “nothing” for regime change. Indeed, the hatred for Israel will still be there and their nuclear program would continue at full speed. The Gaza war will continue will Iran's full support of Hamas.

Summing Up

This shocking event does have a number of ramifications. The biggest takeaway can be simply put: This is what happens when the Lord has had enough with any individual.

Raisi made the supreme mistake of attacking Israel with an attempt to destroy. That was his downfall.

We’ll pick this story up tomorrow in our next edition of Breaking News…
