The 2023 GREAT SOUTHERN STONE SKIPPING CHAMPIONSHIP (G.S.S.S.C.) were Youth, Women, and Men participated in the three divisional Flights for the chance of being one of the 2023 G.S.S.S.C. Champions. The G.S.S.S.C. took place in North Little Rock, AR on the smooth waters of Lakewood Lake #1 where stones were chucked and water was chugged by all. According to the Little Rock Airport, the Championship took place on the hottest day of year. Actually, it was the hottest day in the last twelve years, 107° F.

Stone Skipping Rules and Regulations
Stones may not be man-made or man-altered
No part of his or her body may touch the water
The five adult male competitors, five adult female competitors, and five youth competitors achieving the highest number of skips in the Open Competitive Skipping shall advance to the Skip Off. Each finalist shall be entitled to five skips (chucks).
