Quick Skillet 57 Original Recipe (From GoodHouseKeeping in the 70's)

1 lb. Ground Beef
1 cup onion, chopped (or 1 small onion to make it easy)
1/2 cup green pepper, chopped
2 tbsp shortening (optional)
4 cups hot water
2 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
1/2 cup Heinz 57 sauce
4 tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
2 cups uncooked macaroni (Mom always did a full box, she said)

In large skillet, fry meat and onions in shortening. Stir in remainiing ingredients, adding the uncooked macaroni last. Cook until done.
