Got 2x4 rafters in your shed and wondering how to insulate them without breaking the bank? In this clip from my first shed conversion, I walk you through exactly how I added airflow and radiant barrier—even with a tight budget and thin roof framing.

This method helped me avoid condensation, improve ventilation, and prep the roof for insulation—all without spray foam or expensive materials.

🛠️ Materials used:
• Styrofoam spacers (cut from ¾” foam sheets)
• Liquid Nails adhesive
• Radiant barrier foil
• R-19 batt insulation

I also talk about why an air gap is critical for radiant barrier to work—and how I used a ridge vent and soffit setup to create natural airflow.
