A short video on how I went about modifying my Ooznest 750mm x 1000mm Workbee CNC machine using SBR 16 rails for the Y axis and MGH 15 For the X and the Z
I should point out that there was nothing at all wrong with the original machine, In fact it worked really well and for the value for money I don’t think they can be beaten
The only reason I went for linear rails was to beef up the machine so I could make bigger deeper faster cuts, to reduce my machining times
This also shows how I went about stiffening the x axis with stainless steel box section.
