Ristar the Shooting Star (JP Game Gear Ver.): Part 6: Planet Greedy: Final Bosses & Ending

Описание к видео Ristar the Shooting Star (JP Game Gear Ver.): Part 6: Planet Greedy: Final Bosses & Ending

The Genesis version of this game never gave Planet Greedy its own title card at the start, but this Game Gear version took care of that.

The first part of this final level is played different. Instead of climbing upward while being tracked by a floating eye, you are instead using a huge elevator to go up instead.

At first, you are under attack by the Santa-like enemies. At first, they will throw smaller enemies wearing caps. After you beat them, you can then throw the caps at the Santas to beat them.

But then the Santa stop throwing ones with caps. After some time, I realized that you have to catch the small enemies in mid-flight, then use that boost to hit the Santa.
----------

You then finally get a miniboss in Adahan, who is actually the boss of Planet Onaclove/Scorch, but that planet isn't in the Game Gear version. He's fought slightly different here, but not too hard to manage.

Also, unlike in the Genesis version, once you've stripped Adahan of his armor, his fire waves in his little form CAN still hurt you!
----------

Afterwards, you move on to fight Inonis in his Abia-555 contraption. Just keep headbutting its magic barrier so that Inonis can drop his guard to polish his machine's eye, then aim for the eye itself.

If you time your headbutts right, you can phase through some of this boss' more dangerous attacks.
----------

After beating Inonis, you then move on to face the final boss, Greedy, himself. This fight is mostly the same as the Genesis...

HOWEVER, his black hole attack is much harder to avoid. You're supposed to grab on to a blue enemies that drops from the sky, but if you grab it too close, you'll automatically headbutt it, and likely send yourself into the black hole for instant death.

You can also try grabbing rapidly. The black hole won't suck you towards it during the grab animation.
----------

Eventually, Ristar finishes off Greedy once and for all, but as a last resort, Greedy makes a hasty escape while his space castle is consumed by a gigantic black hole.

Luckily, Ristar, himself, is able to make a fast getaway of his own.

The credits are similar to the Genesis credits in how it shows art Ristar's adventures of exploring the Valdi System's planets, facing its enemies, and saving their residents. The art, of course, makes changes whenever necessary, such as showing off this version's unique bosses.

Afterwards, instead of showing the entire Valdi System, the game once again shows Ristar traveling through space, probably in search of a new adventure.

The final scene is always of the Japanese Genesis/Megadrive ending, where Greedy looks on in a vacant planet and sees an image of Ristar, wondering if they'll ever meet again...

Hmmm... It that his top two henchmen, Uranim and Inonis, didn't survive, this time...
