Mahakal Lok is the newly developed corridor which is an extension of the famous Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga premises in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Ujjain is famous for its Mahakal temple, which is one of the most visited temples of India where Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Mahakal. It is situated on the banks of the river Shipra (which is considered a holy river in Hinduism). Devotees believe that this is a svayambhu lingam (self-manifested Shivalinga).
