Whilst the Daytona may be by far the more glamorous of the pair, it’s the SD1 that takes centre stage here, both physically in the workshop, and emotionally in the story Iain shares.

Iain recounts the journey that brought this particular SD1 into the workshop, and the poignant reason behind its current need for care and attention. It’s a personal tale, closely tied to his long-standing affection for the Rover marque, and especially for the SD1, a car that once represented bold ambition in British car manufacturing.

Though not a restoration episode in the traditional sense, this video marks the beginning of a new chapter for this Rover 3500.
