Hike from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo - 4K

The Island Madeira is a paradise on earth. Not just that it is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean, but also because of the unique nature and the flora and fauna, that can only be seen here. This video shows the hike from Pico do Arieiro to Pico Ruivo (PR1), which is a 7 km hike. It takes about 3,5 to 4 hours.

The Pico Ruivo is, with 1862m, the highest point on the mountainous Madeira, whereas the Pico do Arieiro, with its 1818m, is Madeiras third highest mountain.

In this video you can see some typical perspectives from the hike, just like being above the clouds and between constantly changing weather conditions. In one second you have a wide view through the mountains and valleys and in the other second you can barely see your path.
