Hi Guys, today I’m reviewing the Brita UltraMax Water Filter Dispenser. The unit comes with the dispenser, one filter and instruction manual. There’s also a sticker you can stick on the unit, it helps you remember when to change the filter. Brita recommends changing the filter every 40 gallons or about two months. The filter is supposed to reduce zinc, chlorine taste and odor, copper, mercury and cadmium. The dispenser and filter are bpa free. This unit holds 18 cups so it’s a good size for larger families and for people who don’t like constantly filling up their smaller pitchers like this slim 5 cup version that I use.

When you first get the unit, wash the dispenser with warm soapy water and rinse. Take the filter out and run it under cold tap water for 15 seconds.Take the cover off and insert the filter. Match the notch in the pitcher with the groove in the filter. Press to make sure it’s sealed. Fill with cold tap water. Brita recommends discarding the first three fillings of water. There may be carbon dust in the water. You can of course water your plants instead of throwing the water out. I’ve used the old filters which always had carbon dust but I’ve never had that issue with these new filters.
The spout is easy to use, don’t have to hold it down. there’s no dripping after you fill. Water looks and tastes good, same as my brita pitcher. No chlorine taste.

The unit seems flimsy and I’m not sure about the durability of the dispenser.
I hope you found this review helpful. Please subscribe and thanks for watching :)
