Next up in GFI Systems compact pedal lineup is the Rossie Filter. 3 different modes cover everything from funky envelope filter to synthy steps and manual eq or wah effects when using an expression pedal. All the essential controls are laid out for you along with a helpful visual from the screen. Like other GFI pedals, secondary functions are accessed by pushing and turning the knobs. Powerful controls give you the power to match the input sensitivity to your guitar or bass and tweak the quack with 4 filters: LP, BP, HP, and LP+HP. The Range also helps embellish the attack of the envelope or puts some extra emphasis on that arpeggiated step filter. Plus, it’s secondary parameter of Q width provides subtle vocal-like filters all the way to laser-like filter sweeps.
The dry mix takes Rossie to a whole new level, giving your instrument back its full frequency range or allowing cocked wah or a rhythmic step filter to sit back in the mix for extra texture.
GFI System also provides tap tempo with subdivisions and the same switch can toggle between your 2 favorite presets on the fly. Plus, you can control any of the 3 main parameters with an expression pedal or ramp them using the onboard footswitch for a multitude of frequency shaping tasks.
