*Are there still Wine Windows in Florence? Yes! Florence has so many charming little wine windows! Not all of them are still in use, but we'll visit five wine windows on this vlog today.

*How do you use the Wine Windows in Florence? Check the operating hours for the restaurant or shop you're visiting. If the window is closed, knock on it. If there is no reply (this happened to us once), then go inside the restaurant and ask to purchase wine through the wine window.

*Why were wine windows invented in Florence? During the 1600's a plague struck Florence, these windows were used as a way to sell food and wine while social distancing. As time went by, the wine windows were no longer needed. Fast forward 400 years after the pandemic, these windows became popular again!
