We stayed at Elasah Guest House on 27th December. The guest house is located on the bank of Umium Lake. This is one of the best hotels in Meghalaya. The guest house is well maintained. Rooms are clean and specious. This is 20 km away from busy Shillong. The view from the guest house is amazing. The room rent was 2500 for double bed room including breakfast. We have checked out from the hotel and started our journey towards Kaziranga National Park. On the way to Kaziranga, we stopped at Anurag dhaba for lunch. We had a great lunch with Assamese thali. The dhaba is famous for Assamese thali. The distance between Shillong and Kaziranga is around 255 km. It took 6 hours to reach there. We stayed at Jonaki Kareng at Kohora. The hotel is just opposite to the Kohrora jeep safari booking counter. The tariff is 2500 for double bed room at Jonaki Kareng.The road condition from Shillong to Kaziranga was excellent.

Kaziranga is famous for one horn rhino and is a UNESCO Heritage site. Kaziranga has 4 safari zone. They are Agratoli range, kohora range, bagori range and burrapahar range.
