Sinking of the RMS Carpathia - A DSS III Mini Movie

Описание к видео Sinking of the RMS Carpathia - A DSS III Mini Movie

RMS Carpathia was a British passenger steamship that played a significant role in maritime history. Built in 1902, it primarily served as a transatlantic liner and had various notable voyages. However, its most renowned feat occurred on April 15, 1912, when it responded to distress signals from the sinking RMS Titanic. Carpathia raced to the scene and successfully rescued over 700 survivors from lifeboats. Sadly, Carpathia met its own tragic end on July 17, 1918, during World War I.

While en route from Liverpool to Boston, the ship was torpedoed by a German U-boat off the southern coast of Ireland, resulting in its sinking and the loss of five crew members.
