Argentina is one of my favorite countries. It's also a financial nightmare. Their currency, the peso, is unreliable. So, more and more people are turning to crypto in America. Of course, we take a stable currency for granted. We think 10% Inflation is wild. But in Argentina, it's much worse. It's actually nearing 100%.

So when people get their paychecks, they rush out to spend them immediately. And that's why Argentines have an insatiable appetite for our currency, the US dollar, and they often stuff our currency in their mattresses. But access to dollars is sometimes difficult for everyday people, so that's where crypto is filling the void.

And stablecoins, which promise a stable exchange rate with the US dollar, are in high demand in a country where more economic calamity is almost, sadly, guaranteed. So many people, in fact, have crypto in Argentina these days that some local governments are now taking payments and retailers are increasingly accepting crypto with QR codes.

Crypto is proving to be a lifeline to people in countries with crashing currencies. And this is only going to get worse because as the dollar gets stronger and stronger, and other currencies suffer, you'll see millions of people move their money into crypto, something that many people in America still continue to see as a volatile experimental asset.
