The Philippine Franchise Association is hopeful that the Corporate Recovery and Tax Incentives for Enterprises Act, or CREATE bill, would provide some support for businesses as they navigate the crisis.The group's chairman, Richard Sanz, points out that the bill's provision seeking to reduce corporate taxes from 30% to 25% will put the country at par with its ASEAN neighbors. The extension of net operating loss carryover from three years to five years for losses that enterprises incurred this year is also seen to be helpful.
