Shashpir spring is a historical spring located 5 km from Ardakan city in Sepidan city and 65
km northwest of Shiraz. This spring has a special respect among the indigenous people and they gather in this place on special days during the year and distribute their vows. The water of this spring comes out slowly through the mountain crevices and flows a few meters below the source of the river of the same name. Lake Boram Sheshpir is located on the way to this river.

historical background
This spring is sacred to the locals and candles are lit there for vows and needs. Also during the Qajar period, water flowed from this spring to Shiraz, and there is an inscription in this regard. According to the locals, six holy men enter the cave and the mouth of the cave is closed, and from there this large spring, like a river, comes out from under the mountain.
