It is important to teach your puppy to release objects in their mouth and therefore receive a valuable treat. If they learn this early it might prevent challenges with resource guarding later in life. You can use a variety of cue words such as "give", "release" or "drop". Just be consistent with the one you use. Another important tool is to teach "Leave It" which I cover in another video. #obediencedogtraining #dogtraining #puppytraining #resourceguarding
