The dance is called after the song “Stûpal Dobri na bjal mermer kamûk” which means: “Dobri stepped on a white marble stone”. The dance comes from the surroundings of the town Šumen in east Bulgaria, where the regions of Trakia, Severnjaško and Dobrudža meet.
