Please note that this mod takes advantage of the reversibility of USB Type C cables to implement two separate USB C modes that are not explicitly compatible with each other without an internal USB controller. It does seem to work but it means that some cables may mute the audio over the speaker when trying to charge and other cables will only charge in one orientation.
