Building A Front Skid / Dana 30 Spider Gear Replacement / Jeep XJ

The Jeep Cherokee XJ has taken some damage on the last trip. The extent of it I discover in this video and its more than I expected. The diesel heater build although successful is valuable to deep snow, so I build a skid plate to house and protect it.
The Dana 30 axle u joint exploded which needs replacing but unfortunately there is a lot more damage than I first thought. The symptoms of the failure have been getting worse over time because the front has been behaving more and more like a locked differential due to the jammed spider gears.
Despite the damage and work its good that it happened as it highlighted some issues that need addressing and Its always good to reach the line so you know when to pull back next time.
