For one time only, the city of Harrisburg is offering to erase late trash fee balance accounts if you qualify.

But city treasurer and mayoral candidate Dan Miller is calling for a pause of the program, claiming there are a number of issues with the rollout, including a lack of clarity and transparency.

"Last Monday, we knew nothing about this program at all," Miller said.

The new program gives low-income members of the community one-time forgiveness for unpaid trash fees.

There are 541 people who qualified, totaling fees of $1.5 million.
