Ikea Markus Chair Armrest Hack

The Ikea Markus is a really nice office chair, but I find the armrests too high. They kept hitting my desk and wouldn't let me move in close enough. I found that lots of other people feel the same way and opt to remove the arm rests entirely. I decided to get around the problem another way with a simple hack using less than $6 worth of parts found at my local hardware store. In this video I show you how I did it. For me this is the fix. Maybe it will be for you, too.
