How to REPLANT Crowded Succulents. Hens/Chicks/Sempervivum | Propagate Leaves & Cuttings Endlessly

Описание к видео How to REPLANT Crowded Succulents. Hens/Chicks/Sempervivum | Propagate Leaves & Cuttings Endlessly

How to replant/repot/transplant your succulents! The sempervivum plant is commonly called "hens and chicks" and for good reason! I have had ONE plant for 1 1/2 years and have gotten 28 baby chicks from it! 28!!! These make for great gifts and when you cut away a baby chick it will grow into a hen and continue to produce its own plants as well! Easy to care for and they produce clusters of rosettes! They require full sun to part shade and are evergreen perennials. They like sandy soil but as mentioned mine do great in potting mix soil as well! They are incredibly hardy and won't die when you go on a weeks vacation, which is always a plus. I hope you enjoy this video as there is still great interest in planting and growing, and its a beautiful art. It's therapeutic and can add so much character to your garden.
