Clyre Valley: Amazing 009 Narrow Gauge in Cornwall | The Railway Room

Описание к видео Clyre Valley: Amazing 009 Narrow Gauge in Cornwall | The Railway Room

Today on The Railway Room is a look at Tim Couling's 009 Narrow Gauge model railway, the Clyre Valley. The Clyre Valley Railway is an imaginary main line narrow gauge railway of 2'6" gauge, and set in Cornwall. The imagined line runs from Port St George (aka Padstow) to Bodmin, with a branch from Buckland Newton to Blissland Abbey (Wenford Bridge). The relatively prosperous line carries significant china clay traffic, alongside passengers and general goods.
The model depicts a section between Wadebridge & Bodmin, starting at St Breock (just outside Wadebridge), climbing up onto the moors over an impressive viaduct and multiple bridges, to the junction station of Buckland Newton. The layout features many large locomotives, banked trains, and even railmotors on the branch passenger turn. The layout featured in Railway Modeller in April & May 2020, and has won multiple awards, including Best Narrow Gauge layout at Warley 2023.
This video includes footage shot at the 009 Society 50th Anniversary Show at Statfold Barn, & at the Warley National Model Railway Exhibition, both in 2023. It has been edited featuring audio from across my channel from videos of various real world narrow gauge railways.
