What’s the difference between a fuel filter and a fuel water separator on your outboard? Primarily one very important thing: what they each remove from the fuel headed to your motor.

John will also give you an explanation of how fuel water separators work and which types work for different marine applications.

We’ll also discuss fuel flow rate, and how it impacts the types of filters you choose. If you choose a filter that cannot fully accommodate the flow of your fuel pump, you may be leaving performance on the table by choking off some fuel flow to your engine.
