Vardenis-Martakert: a Highway to Prosperity

Описание к видео Vardenis-Martakert: a Highway to Prosperity

The Vardenis-Martakert Highway, which links Armenia with Artsakh, has been a blessing to the economies and daily lives of both republics. The highway was inaugurated in September 2017, following nearly three years of construction.

This 2017 video showcases the village of Getavan, in Artsakh’s Martarkert Region, as among scores of communities now reaping the benefits of the Vardenis-Martakert Highway — from increased tourism and a proliferation of new businesses to significantly reduced travel times between Artsakh and Armenia. Also featured in the video is a multifunctional community center being built in Getavan by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

The Vardenis-Martakert Highway, which passes through the breathtaking countryside of Northern Artsakh and leads to magnificent historic sites and monuments, is one of the largest infrastructure-development projects ever undertaken by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, and the third highway to be built by the organization (after the North-South Highway in Artsakh and the Goris-Stepanakert Highway).
