Over vs Under Watering Citrus

Описание к видео Over vs Under Watering Citrus

When I started growing citrus trees I killed a variegated lemon and a lime tree as I overwatered them during the winter. I searched online thinking there was an exact amount I should water all of my trees however there are too many factors to get an exact number. Some trees are larger, some trees have different soil, some are flowering, some are fruiting, and sometimes just the variety of tree requires a different amount of water. The best way to determine the proper amount of water is to look at the leaves once a week. If they are curving downward then the tree has too much water. You can also put your finger in the soil to see if it is too wet. REMEBER, citrus trees would rather be too dry than too wet. If the leave form an upward "V" like a taco, the tree is too dry and needs water.

I also use an organic citrus fertilizer for all of my trees however from time to time I find a lot of yellow leaves. Sprinkling in a little Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) has worked for me in greening these leaves back up. My trees tend to need a little more than is available in the fertilizer.
