In this video, we will understand looking up values in Power BI DAX. That is LOOKUPVALUE, a simple DAX function that returns the value in a specified result column for the row that meets all criteria specified by search column and search value.

Syntax of Lookupvalue Function
Result_ColumnName : The column that contains the desired value from the other tables.
Search_ColumnName : The column that contains search value in the targeted table.
Search_Value : The value that we want to search in the targeted table. (Search_column). Refer to the column of the present table (where we are adding a new column).
Alternate_Result : The value that should be returned if no match found or multiple results matched.
