RC diff hack 101

Описание к видео RC diff hack 101

In this video we go over the rear diff for the Typhon 6s RC car from Arrma; this method also applies to the majority of cars on the market today with three diffs inside of them. As most of us in the hobby know, there are many ways to achieve a goal when working with RC cars. I find the diff issue to be particularly interesting, because of the design and build of these necessary devices. In this video we dig into the diff and adjust it to the specs we want, but not in the usual way, because instead of using the weighted oils, the rather expensive oils most RC'ers use for such a job, we use silicone instead - a much cheaper alternative. This is in no way new to the YouTube platform, but we here at AJJAMStudios felt it necessary to address this issue for the folks trying to get into the hobby on a budget. It doesn't make sense that everything concerning RC cars must be expensive. Just the price of the initial hardware -the car or truck, then batteries, and then the charger, just to name a few, can be enough to detour many folks from joining this hobby. I do try and find alternative ways to do things, especially if it can solve a problem without draining you wallet in the process. This video is geared for just such a problem. You see, most RC cars come from the factory with basic setups; this includes usually more open diffs than we in the hobby would like to see. But, you see, this is to make the cars easier to drive for the less experienced enthusiast. But when your skills crave more exciting adventures, that's when tuning comes into play. Come along as we rip into this mechanism and bend it to our will, without costing us an arm and a leg. AJ
