Clock Is a Thing of the Past is a second full-length album by Croatian-based project ectratis. It consists of nine original tracks composed by Zagreb-based musician and project leader Matej Blečić. Five songs feature lyrics (written on both English and Croatian language) that deal with romantic relationships and their real-life complexities, while the rest of the tracks are instrumentals.
Stylistically, the release features sound that can be best described as a mixture of pop rock, jazz fusion, progressive and new wave music of the 1970s and 1980s, although various other influences can be heard such as funk, soul, R&B, classical and even electronic music.
Unlike debut album The Artificial Spirit, this release features collaborations with prominent Croatian musicians (most notably Nina Romić), and also performances with ectratis live band that consists of Matej Blečić (vocals, keyboards and guitar), Jelena Galić (back vocals and bass guitar), Ivan Luić (electric guitar) and Tin Brkljačić (drums). The album was released on September 23, 2022 on both digital and CD formats.
