The first landmark event of "The Margins of the Mother Tongue" Dialogue of the Century. We were honoured to have two outstanding poets from the United States, Eliot Weinberger and Will Alexander, who started a feast of ideas at the JC CUBE at Tai Kwun, hosted by Dr. WONG Nim Yan of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, with on-site translation provided by Dr. WONG Nim Yan.
「母語的邊界」世紀對話首場標誌性活動－「母語的邊界」世紀對話。很榮幸邀請到了來自美國的兩位傑出詩人艾略特·溫伯格與威爾·亞歷山大，他們在香港大館的JC CUBE，由香港中文大學的黃念欣教授主持，黃峪教授提供現場翻譯，共同展開了一場思想的盛宴。

The dialogue explored in depth how literary translation moves within and beyond the boundaries of the mother tongue, and how poetry crosses the language barrier and touches the heart. With their unique perspectives and rich literary experiences, Eliot Weinberger and Will Alexander presented an in-depth dialogue on language, culture and identity, which attracted extensive resonance and high praise from the audience.
本次對話深入探討了文學翻譯如何在母語的邊界內外遊走，以及詩歌如何跨越語言的屏障，觸碰人心。艾略特和威爾以其獨特的視角和豐富的文學經驗，為現場觀眾呈現了一場關於語言、文化和身份認同的深度對話，引發了觀眾的廣泛共鳴和高度評價。
