The Oxford Cloth Button Down shirt, or OCBD for short, has been a style that has been the savior of confusing dress code formalities for decades. Whereas the OCBD was once the shirt of the moment, being produced and replicated by seemingly every sartorial outlet, the long-sleeved polo is now seemingly everywhere.

Long-sleeve polo shirts can be a little trickier to define than an OCBD! For example, it’s easy to confuse long-sleeve polos with rugby shirts. However, the Rugby shirt has a few more distinct characteristics.
