In this LAPPG meeting video Executive Director Wendy Woodhall introduces us to Avid’s Pro-Audio Solutions Specialist, for the Americas, Christopher Mallamaci to share the latest in "Avid Audio Solutions for Post Production." He demonstrates the improved efficiency of Media Composer and Pro Tools interoperability and how we can now export from Media Composer right into Pro Tools. He showed new track markers and how they carry over from Media Composer into Pro Tools and how you can now put individual markers on tracks to add notes.

He then showed fascinating ways to create sound-to-picture design with Pro Tools Ultimate. Christopher gives us a tour of using Avid’s PlayCell, GrooveCell, and SynthCell with a clip from “The Orville” courtesy of the editorial team at Fuzzy Door Productions. We also see how elastic audio can be used on this clip. Christopher answers questions from the LAPPG community and shares the many benefits of using ProTools. It was certainly an ear opening meeting for the audiophiles among us and we can’t wait to hear what else is heading our way from Avid!
